Established in 1973, Stead & Wilkins offers excellence in Fabrication and Precision Engineering. We provide experienced, imaginative and flexible support accompanied by superior customer service specialising in the sourcing and manufacture of business critical components.
We operate out of a 15,000 sq ft facility which handles Fabrication, Sheet metalwork, CNC Machining, CNC Punching, Mechanical/Electrical Assembly and Painting. We can also provide On Site Fitters and Welders all backed up by our Quality Control department equipped with CNC Co-ordinate Measuring Machine, Optical Projection and Form Talysurf. Stead & Wilkins can accept CAD Data in various formats, which in turn can be processed and fed via our DNC links to the machine tools. Stead & Wilkins operate a full Procurement Management Service whereby all subcontracted operations are controlled and subject to goods inwards inspection.
Stead & Wilkins offers a complete service from Concept Design through to Design, Prototyping and Manufacture.
Our clients include Blue-Chip Organisations from the Private to Public Sectors, our expertise extended across heavy Industry, Defence, Transport, Aeronautics, Railways, Pharmaceutical and other specialised areas.
